Our Stories
Behind every KIFF KIFF object, there are also words, symbols, and stories. Before becoming a piece of jewelry, a brooch, or a postcard, each item in our MOTIFF PARLANT collection originates from an expression heard a thousand times in the South of France: a "té!" exchanged between two plane trees, a "cagole" that brings a smile, an affectionate "fada" slipped into a market conversation. These words have a history, a melody, a unique way of saying things directly. We wanted to capture them, embroider them, print them, so they could continue to live beyond conversation.
Alongside this Southern dialect, there's the ex-voto, an even older tradition: these objects offered in gratitude, promise, or prayer, which once adorned chapels and homes. We've kept this idea of an object charged with meaning, now transformed into mirrors and wall decorations.
