Grey Parrot Wall Mask – Handcrafted Paper Mâché from Odisha
This wall mask depicts a parrot's head in subtle grey shades, a sober and modern color choice that contrasts with the vibrant hues of the mythological masks in the collection. At 25 cm high, it is one of the largest formats in the range.
Crafted from papier-mâché using the technique practiced in the Odisha region, this mask is born from a long artisanal process: carving the base, layering paper pulp, natural drying, and then entirely hand-painting.
No two pieces are strictly identical; the slight variations in relief and finish are the signature of this entirely handmade work.
