The Marlene model is the only heart ex-voto in the collection adorned with a hummingbird heart in full flight, perched atop a plant decoration of foliage and small flowers in relief. A more narrative motif than the other pieces, which are closer to abstract or geometric designs. A floral and animal ex-voto that makes this golden wall heart a unique piece in the range.

Marlene's hummingbird is sculpted in volume in the metal, with a detailed beak and wings, considering its small size (9 x 7 cm). This level of miniature detail requires different punching tools from those used for the scallops or flames of other models. The result is particularly visible under grazing light, when the relief of the hummingbird casts its own shadow on the leaves below. A wall ex-voto that tells a small scene rather than settling for a repetitive motif.
