Turquoise bracelet, round beads — Nuristan, Afghanistan

This model features turquoise beads on a dotted band, with a different stone cut from our other turquoise models: rounder, it is set in a denser, more textured metalwork, close to a fine grain.

A round stone, a grained metal

Unlike the model with elongated stones on a twisted band, this one uses a rounder stone and a fully dotted metal background, which catches the light in small flashes rather than continuous lines. The result is a visually denser piece of jewelry, with an almost fabric-like texture.

The bracelet has an inner diameter of approximately 6 cm. It can be slightly adjusted by gentle pressure to fit the wrist more easily. We recommend not applying excessive pressure to preserve the bracelet's shape and integrity.

The dotted pattern, dot by dot

Creating an entirely dotted surface requires repetitive and meticulous work: each small dot is individually marked into the metal, one by one, until the entire band is covered. This is a skill that Nuristan artisans master with impressive regularity, without templates or machines.

Look closely: you will notice that the density of the dots varies slightly from one area to another, proof that each bracelet was indeed handcrafted, without mechanical reproduction.

About the metal

Please note: this bracelet is not made of solid silver. It is crafted from German silver, an artisanal alloy that can oxidize slightly over time, especially when in contact with skin, humidity, or cosmetics. This patina is part of the charm of the piece; it is a sign of a living object, not a defect.
