Handmade German Silver Bracelet from Kathmandu
This bracelet is handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal, where metalwork and jewelry making are ancient crafts passed down through generations. Unlike the brass jewelry in the Dhokra collection, this piece is made from German silver (or nickel silver), a traditional alloy widely used in Nepalese and Tibetan jewelry for its appearance, which is similar to antique silver.
Despite its name, German silver does not contain sterling silver: it is an alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel, valued for its strength, wear resistance, and the beautiful natural patina it develops over time.
Each bracelet is entirely handcrafted in a workshop in Kathmandu. The slight variations in engraving, texture, or finish are a testament to this manual work and make each piece unique.
