Meera Brass Earrings – Dhokra Solar Spiral Discs
Meera is immediately recognizable by its large concentric spiral discs, a recurring solar motif in tribal crafts from Odisha. With a 3 cm diameter, these are the most graphic brass earrings in the collection, bohemian jewelry whose round shape gently frames the face.
Meera's spiral is created by winding a beeswax thread on itself before casting. The artisan controls the thickness and spacing of each turn by hand. After Dhokra casting, the traces of the wax thread remain visible as slight concentric grooves.
